iTunes serves as one of the selling points of Apple’s iOS mobile operating system. iTunes allows iPhone, iPad and Mac owners to play music, download and organize their downloaded music and videos. One of the best things when it comes to iTunes lies in its ability to work perfectly on all Apple devices, including Apple Watch.
watchOS includes a handy feature called Remote, which allows users to remotely take full control of their music library in iTunes. Cool, isn’t it? This is a great feature, as it eliminates the need for a Mac nearby. However, the feature is a little bit hidden from users ‘sight. With that in mind, we believe that we can help you out.
In this guide, we will show you how to control iTune using your Apple Watch. Before we begin, make sure that your computer and Apple Watch are now connected to the same Wi-Fi network and you now have the latest version of iTunes on your computer.
How to control iTunes using your Apple Watch
To use your Apple Watch as a remote control for iTunes, you first need to set it up. To do this, make sure that you check out the steps below.
Step one: First off, you need to launch the Remote app on your Apple Watch and then make sure that you tap on Add Device on your watch’s screen
Step two: Once you do that, your watch will display 4 digits on the screen (you may want to write it down)
Step three: Head to your computer that has the latest version of iTunes installed on it. Launch iTunes if you have not already done so and hit the play button to proceed
Step four: Select your Apple Watch from the drop-down menu and then enter the 4-digit code you received on your Apple Watch earlier (make sure that you enter it correctly)
Step five: Once you are done, you now can control iTunes using your Apple Watch. All you need to do is select your music library and play your music.
