How to fix “provision.cpp:168” error in Cydia Impactor

How to fix “provision.cpp:168” error in Cydia Impactor

  1. Revoke certificates

It could be that you have side-loaded too many apps with Cydia Impactor, which is why Cydia Impactor fails to work properly while installing an app on your iPhone. Fortunately, you can revoke all the certificates that were previously installed with your Apple ID in Cydia Impactor without help of an additional app. The process is pretty simple, and we will show you how below.

Step one: First off, you need to connect your iPhone or iPad to a Mac or a Windows PC and then launch Cydia Impactor on your computer

Step two: Once you are done, click on the Xcode menu at the top of the screen and select Revoke Certificates from the drop-down menu

  1. Generate an app-specific password

If the problem still persists, make sure that you have disabled two-factor authentication for your Apple ID. If you don’t want to turn it off, you can generate an app-specific password. Here is how.

Step one: First off, head to Apple’s account management page at here and sign in with your Apple ID

Step two: Once you are in, hit the Edit button under the Security section. After that, navigate the App Specific Passwords and hit Generate Password

Step three: Name your password and proceed with clicking on the Create button

Step four:  Now just simply enter your newly-generated password when asked. Make sure that you use your new password the next time you install an app via Cydia Impactor.

  1. Install Package

If the problem is still present, try using an option called Install Package in Cydia Impactor. Here is how.

Step one: Open Cydia Impactor on your computer (Make sure that you have already connected your iPhone or iPad to your computer)

Step two: Once you are done, click on the Device menu at the top and select Install Package from the pull-down menu.
