Nowadays, you can easily do many things such as share interesting photos, videos, direct messages, share status, post stories, and broadcast live videos on Instagram. Instagram also helps you make your profile private, however you need to learn how to secure and protect your account from unauthorized access. Enabling two-factor authentication for your Instagram account allows you to make sure the person who logs into your account is actually you.
Here, we will share how you can enable two-factor authentication for your Instagram account on iPhone.
Check out steps to enable Two-Factor Authentication for Instagram
Step 1: First off, you need to launch Instagram on your device
Step 2: Next, you now need to go your profile screen page
Step 3: Then, you need to open settings by tapping on the gear icon in the top right corner
Step 4: Now, you need to tap on Two-Factor Authentication under Account
Step 5: After that, you have to turn on Require Security Code
Step 6: Here, you have to enter a 6-digit verification number which Instagram will use to verify your account
Step 7: Finally, as a safety precaution, you will receive a set of backup codes from Instagram. You can copy and keep them in a secure place
You can use this code if you have issues signing into your account with two-factor authentication enabled.
Now, if someone wants to log into your account, they will have to enter a 6 digit verification number that you receive on your phone. Of course, they can’t access your account without entering this verification number.
Enabling two-factor authentication means that you add an extra layer of security to your Instagram account to prevent unauthorized access to your private media content and messages.
